In 2021, Ronnell Winfrey founded the CHESS Foundation NFP in Chicago, IL, to address the pressing need for more aid and resources to support individuals and families.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization. We offer a wide range of meaningful opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved and truly make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
We welcome college students looking to fulfill community service requirements, including those working toward scholarships or financial aid programs.
In the near future, we will also launch opportunities for individuals who need to complete court-ordered or mandated community service hours, providing a supportive and impactful way to earn credit while giving back.

The foundation's work is supported by corporations, a combination of grants, donations, and volunteer efforts, ensuring that all resources are utilized to have the maximum positive effect on those we serve.
At CHESS Foundation NFP Approximately 85 percent of all funds will be spent assisting individuals and families in building stronger and safer communities as a whole. We work hard to make sure your gifts are used in the most efficient and effective manner.
Absolutely. The security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. We use industry-standard SSL (secure socket layer) technology to protect your information and provide a safe and secure environment for online donations. We will not sell, trade or share your personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations, and we will only share personal information if you have given us specific permission to do so.
A donation receipt will be sent to you at the email address you provide on this form. Please be sure to keep a copy of your receipt for tax purposes. If you select a recurring donation, you will be sent an individual receipt each month when your donation is processed.
Yes. CHESS Foundation NFP is a fully qualified 501(c)3(organization. Contributions to CHESS Foundation NFP are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law (EIN 86-3398992). To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We'll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.
